My dog ate my wedding dress.

Picked up my custom wedding dress yesterday. Took six months to make. The fittings, the fabric swatches, all the stress... worth it. It turned out exactly how I wanted.

Brought it home, still in the garment bag. Hung it up in my closet. Didn’t even take it out. Just stared at it for a minute and felt like everything was finally coming together.

About an hour later, I went to run some errands. 

I was in the middle of Target and my phone started blowing up with Furbo notifications. Barking. Movement. More barking. I figured it was probably just Amazon or something, so I opened the app to check.

I almost passed out. My 4-year-old golden retriever has somehow ripped the garment bag open and is literally chewing on my wedding dress. 

I screamed so loud. Dropped everything. Left a full cart in the middle of the aisle. And sprinted straight out of the store.

That was probably the fastest I've ever driven. 

By the time I got home, it was over.

The dress was wrecked. Lace everywhere. Bodice soaking wet. The bottom was torn up. I couldn’t even process it and still haven’t. 

And he was so proud. Wagging his tail. Happy as hell. 

I didn’t even cry at first. I just sat on the floor staring at it. 

I genuinely don’t know what to do.

Anyway. That’s where I’m at. Not even 24 hours. Wedding’s in 3 months. I am unwell.

If anyone has any advice or just wants to scream with me, I’m all ears.

I know it’s not funny. I know. But I’m laughing and crying for you at the same time.
