My coworker ended up being the drunkest most obnoxious person at my wedding.

Who pregames a wedding ceremony?!

My coworker ended up being the drunkest most obnoxious person at my wedding.

I'm sure stories like this are a dime a dozen, but I'm annoyed and I'd like to vent.

I have 5 coworkers total, two I am very close with and the rest I am friendly with. Because its such a small group and they have all spent time with my husband, I decided to invite them all. Two of them were not able to make it for personal reasons, but the two I am close with were, and then one other came, lets call him Bob. I ended up letting all three coworkers bring dates later on as other rsvps came in saying no, so Bob brought his girlfriend as well, who I have met and spent time with. I thought this would be no problem, he's a nice guy.

Well, like the title says, Bob and his girlfriend were obviously heavily intoxicated. Day of, when I went to say hi briefly during cocktail hour, I could tell immediately that they had already had way too much to drink, which surprised me, since they had only been there for about an hour. Bob's girlfriend was making comments about my body in the dress (cause I did look amazing!) but it felt aggressive and inappropriate, but I brushed it off. During our grand entrance they were hooting and hollering so loud that everyone ended up looking at them, again I brushed it off. I didn't notice anything else day of, and thank god!

The next day, my 11 year old niece (11!!!), came up to me to ask "who the guy in the blue suit with the girl in the green dress" was, it was Bob. She told me that he was motor-boating his girlfriend over and over again on the dance floor, that he had stepped on my niece's feet multiple times, and that he has spilled his drink on her. If he did this to her, then he definitely did it to others. My uncle then told me that Bob was continuously cutting everyone in line at the bar, and even when called out or asked to please wait his turn, he ignored everyone. We had an open bar too, with efficient bartenders, the line was never more than 4 people long.

The first day I was back at work, the coworker that I am close and I with debriefed, I told her the above and mentioned that it was annoying, and then she had more drama to tell me!! She said that they had brought in little shooters of tequila and pregamed my ceremony! And that during dinner, the girlfriend had made an comment to another guest(that they had never met before) about being married and it made the other guest visibly upset and she ran to the bathroom. I was also told that they had brought coke and were blatantly offering it to other people, unaware of the surrounding guests. And then to top it all off, I found out that they DROVE HOME! And I know their house was about an hour from my venue.

All of these accounts from the evening have made my annoyance grow to the point that I no longer want to be friendly with Bob at work. I am just shocked that a person who only knew 4 people there, including me and my husband, would think its ok to act like that (and pregame my ceremony?! really?!). I am aware people like to have fun and cut loose at weddings, and I was expecting some craziness, but definitely not from him and his girlfriend. The first time I saw him he had zero clue too, "Thanks again for inviting is, we had so much fun! Best wedding ever". I quickly said thanks and went on my way. Not sure how long it will be before I give him more than one word answers when he talks to me...

Shame on whomever kept serving them.

How should the bride handle her coworker after his behavior?
