My bachelorette party wasn’t what I wanted and now my MOH won’t speak to me.

It’s been a month since my wedding and I haven’t heard a single word from my maid of honor. Not a text. Not a “congrats.” Not a “how are you holding up.” Nothing.

We were best friends for over 10 years. She planned my bachelorette in Nashville, which I was fine with. I didn’t ask for anything over the top. She told me she’d run everything by me, but there were a lot of things that just… happened. Things I never agreed to. And when I did say something, I felt like I was being “difficult.”

It honestly felt like I was just tagging along on a trip someone else planned for themselves. I don’t mean that in a bratty way. I was just hoping for some effort. Like, it was my celebration. My one bachelorette. And half the time I felt invisible.

The vibe was off the entire weekend. I tried to go with the flow, but every time I voiced something, I’d get attitude. At brunch, one of the girls came at me for “being cold” the night before and I was honestly so shocked she said it in front of everyone. I barely said anything to her all trip, so I have no clue where it came from.

And my MOH? Barely there. Barely talked to me the whole time. It was like she was checked out. Same thing the morning of the wedding. She helped, technically, but it didn’t feel like she wanted to be there.

Now we haven’t spoken in a month. I know I wasn’t the easiest person to deal with. Planning a wedding is stressful. But I didn’t expect to lose my best friend over it.

I keep looking at my photos and all I see is someone who clearly didn’t want to be part of it. Not sure what I’m supposed to do with that.

Is it possible she felt like you were being distant too? I’ve seen friendships fall apart over wedding stress when no one says what they really mean.
