I Toasted Us. You Ghosted Us.

Some friendships end with a fight. Ours ended with a guest list. Apparently BFF stands for "Bye, Fake Friend."

Alright, so here’s the scoop. I invited my "best friend" to my July wedding.

She’s getting married in September... but I haven’t seen a save-the-date with my name on it.

We weren’t just close — we were basically glued together.

Shared closets. Shared secrets. Shared hangovers. If you saw one of us, the other wasn’t far behind.

But we both moved, and now... crickets.

When she got engaged, I figured I’d be one of her first calls.
Late-night rants. Ugly crying over venues. Laughing about how we were actually doing this, side by side.

Instead?

Radio silence.

I tried setting up a catch-up call months ago. She dodged me like a bad blind date.

Over and over.

Okay, she’s busy planning. I get it. Weddings are crazy, right?

I tried to be patient, thinking she’d be waving that save-the-date around eventually.

But then... I saw her Instagram stories.

“Sending save-the-dates!”

“Cake tasting!”

“I said yes to the dress!”

For a second, I thought maybe I missed a notification.

But no invite.

Our mutual friends are getting them left and right. Me?

Ghosted.

And the real kicker?

We always said we’d be each other’s “person.”
The one who shows up no matter what.
The one who doesn't have to be asked.

Instead, I’m standing there with my phone in hand, wondering if I just imagined the whole friendship.

So, what now?

Do I swallow it and play it cool?

Or do I fire off a "Hey, just curious..." text and risk blowing it all up?

Because my wedding’s creeping closer.

And her RSVP deadline?

It’s this Friday.
